Sung: Mr. Schickelgrubbenheimen, our band director, had the band practicing everyday;
Rehearsing on the same song, a-over and a-over and a-over, that they were going to play on the day of the game.
Well they had green and purple uniforms and they looked real sharp when they marched down the field and the majorettes would shake it for the folks of the inner grandstands.
And Cecil played the cymbals, Melvin played the trombone, and Julius played the trumpet in the Snellville Municipal Consolidated Junior High School Band.

Sung: Well on the day of the game all the boys in the band got together and they made their plan but when the half-time show got underway;
They surprised everybody when they played their song, they played the same song but they played it all wrong, they wouldn’t play the way that they were supposed to play.
