i had a dream last night that

but then the sun came out
and i woke up to face the doubt

as we used to be
i cant understand how the feelings that we know we had
could just be abandoned
we tossed into the wind so easily

when in the end after everything is said and done
we chose to spend an eternity without melody, a symphony
a life without our canon in d
ive heard a story told about the staircase made of gold
that winds its way up through the crowds
stops at heavens door
and if someday i stand bofore that door
without your hands wrapped up in mine
ill sit right down
wait for ever more
