If I have in the jacket
One, two or three rabbits,
Quidams! I'm a magician!
If I change the plague
Into little pieces of bread,
Ri-gue-dam! I am an imp!
It was by following the shepherd's star
Without worrying about the mages
That I learned to make fly
What I had in a cage.
If you have wings,
Add two mandibles,
Ri-gue-dam! You are a dragonfly!
And I engage the sky
As a vestibule,
Ri-gue-dam! You are a tightrope walker!
One thing leads to another, you break your chains,
You build an empire!
Put your heart away in a woolen stocking,
It can always be useful!
If I have it in my head
Bells and tambourines,
Quidams! I'm a wanderer!
If I go on a quest
For a sheet of quatrains,
Ri-gue-dam! I'm a mandarin!
A ride on the wind, I'm going to the moon
With my bag of nuts!
I know that down here I was without fortune,
Up there I will be King!
