Facing My Fears
What have I to fear today?
We are apart, I did not do things your way.
I wrote down all my fears just now.
Fear of you no longer a choice somehow.
Facing my fears slone in the dark.
Only silence came into my black heart.
My heart pounded into my brain.
Distorted images granting emotional pain.
I was given a gift-the ability to see.
As I looked inside each broken heart,
thinking how could this be?
I encouraged a few and sent them some light.
Hope faded, the sun vanished, again I see night.
What have I to fear today?
Not even death if it comes my way.
For I have known what it is to live.
All the good inside I was to give.
They took and took and never gave.
I plan to haunt them from the grave.
