Happy Birthday From Me to You
I bet you thought I wasn't smart,
When you didn't find a card.
You probably thought I didn't care,
While you kept looking everywhere.
But just like every year before,
I just stood there in the store.
Staring at those silly poems,
This year I wrote one of my own.
So, happy birthday from me to you,
I hope you're every wish comes true.
Happy birthday and God Bless you,
He did a great job making you.
From your hat down to your shoes,
I hope your happy through and through.
And by the way I must thankyou,
For making me so happy too.

Hallmark's got it over me,
When it comes to sympathy.
If you should get the chicken pox,
I'll have a card here in a shot.
But when your birthday rolls around,
There aint a verse in this hole town.
That can say what I want to,
Cause darlin you know I love you.
So, Happy birthday from me to you,
I hope your every wish comes true.
Tell your mom and dad the news,
They did a fine job raising you.
