Halsey ghost commentary

Ghost, was, um, Ghost was one of the first songs I ever wrote in, like, an actual studio environment.
I wrote it with my friend Dylan Scott.
Um, he's in a band called Young Rising Sons.
And, um, I just started the Halsey project.
I had no idea what I was doing.
And, um, I was, like, writing acoustic songs before this.
And, um, we sat down and we started, like, messing with... with sounds.
And, uh, we wanted, like, these churchy, scary, like, uh, shimmery sounds is the words I used.
And most people when you're like, Hey, I want shimmery noises in a song, they look at you and they're like, What?
But he knew right away.
So we came up with Ghost, and, um, it ended up just being, like, my signature.
It was, like, how I knew what Hal- the Halsey project was going to sound like.
And, um, it was our single and, you know, SiriusXM started playing it, which was awesome.
And a lot of people gave me a lot of weird looks for because it's, like, 2 minutes and 30 seconds long, it starts with a bridge, it doesn't make any sense, there's, like, a rap white girl part in the beginning of it.
And, um, but we moved forward with it anyway because we had faith in it and, uh, I'm really glad we did because...
And it's the fan favorite.
