Verse 1:
Paul wrote it to Romans to show them the benefits of atonement/
To illustrate his point, he used a word that’s metaphoric/
And socially accepted by the populace/
Cause locally that Roman church was Paul’s audience/
Where culturally this common practice got fostered in/
In chapter 8 that word adoption must have caught their ears/
Roman citizens, born into privilege/
Jew and Gents both knew about its benefits/
In a place where there was social class drama/
The government would recognize its own folks with honor/
This is where a change can happen, you see the actions active/
Your passive in the process, but your granted access/
So adoption was the option for the rich person/
Looking to leave a legacy if they were infertile/
I’m talking double portions, you get what’s passed down/
You used to not belong. You got a fam now/
That type of grace will place a son in position/
Inheriting the wealth of the one who went to get em/
Legally, all the debt you owed has been erased/
You grow accustomed to your parents, start taking on their traits/
Your last name changes, but you can keep the first/
So it symbolize your ending is different than your birth/
It’s Barabbas! Son of the father if you heard/
Golgatha, Bar Abba, God adopted on the third/
I was born by a river/
See my folks, they left me there/
But I was brought in by a Father/
I call Him Abba, He’s so faithful/
And I’m so grateful to be adopted in/

Can't see His majesty because of his agony/
Malady like a tragedy but part of his strategy/
Started in Galilee but then he ended at Calvary/
Let’s look at it practically, see benefits of his family, Like…/
The joy of knowing that in Christ you're accepted/
God is your Abba, your father, his kids he's never neglecting/
Don't work for man's approval seek your Fathers perspective/
And I ain't gotta’ chase money, I’ve got every spiritual blessing/
I'm grafted into the vine, rooted in the divine/
Cause He had made up his mind I'd be His before time/
Like white wines or nice dimes I'm quite fine/
We call that blessed assurance because Jesus is mine! /
This one’s a biggie, we think it's small, here's another one/
He disciplines his sons as a part of showing his love for em'/
He puts you in a family as part of his covenant/
And you ain't gotta’ roll trees, you could roll with ya brethren/
The gang alliance against his son who remained silent/
And when he got on that cross, he paid for my violence/
No earthly father? Call him your Abba, your papa/
He loves giving what we need, ask for living agua, the main hydrant/
If you're adopted, I'm telling u its bug/
We're blessing God because we're blessed with His grace in the Beloved/
I was called I was redeemed and forgiven through His blood/
And now I'm adopted by his grace, while I'm soaking in His love/
