Rooster Prophet
It seems such a pretty, pretty night…but the hint of day is in the tint of light.
The sleeping world is getting so atomic…but you keep sleeping on it…on it.
It’s a shame it had to end this way…it all ends on one atomic day.
The dawn is near and it’s almost morning…the rooster crows and gives his warning…warning.
Do you hear…the rooster crow? Then again, what does a rooster know?
He says, “The sun will soon arrive and it will all be over.”
You close your eyes…and you keep sleeping on…you say, “Just another minute.”
The hourglass is almost out of sand…there’s just a grain left in it.
This is the policy…of the universe…I hope I’m heavy on your mind.
You know you have until the very end…but you’re running out of time.
Are you sober now? Wake up sleeper from your sleep.
Open up your eyes…’cause I’m the rooster and I’m shaking you.
