Where do you go when the night comes down
and it's time to close your eyes
where do you run when the shadows fall
and the night comes stealin' through
some say trusting is believing
and faith is all you need
to lie in the arms of slumber
and journey to the stars
for I am one who questions
this ever-changing world
looking back on yesterday
times were different then
you just stay awhile in the magic land
way out on the crystal sea

or the knight in shining armour
who kept you safe and strong
well you say you can't remember
but with the dawning of the day
the ravaged edges of the night
are softly sponged away
There are ships that sail the skyways
there are rockets to the moon
instant thoughts of words and sparks
flashing out through space
it's all supposed to get much better
but I'm not convinced at all
look for pictures in your pillow
it's the writing on the wall
hold onto your dreams while you can my love
and keep them in your heart
for the time will come when the older one

there are milestones on the highway
and your journey's just begun
