Away from the city the night is so dark
there's just the faintly pulsating light from the stars
did I see something move at the edge of my glance?
miss the shelt'ring embrace of the neon lights
Telltally loud, my thoughts in the silence
there is nothing that covers them as usually
need a switch to turn on artificial humans
lead me to believe I am not alone
This plain out of black, it is stubbornly even
anything can be drawn on this featureless screen
can't hear anything in this soundlacking night
but the noises awake and they whirr in the air
How dare this come to a rational nature,
knowing lots ‘bout the world, the laws that it follows
tranquillize, fantasy plays a trick on your mind
I know, I know, I know there is no one else
All the deluding neon light
illuminates the road but hides
all of the fainting stars inside
swallows them up and blinds my eyes
now that I am desensitised
no longer see their modest light
solitude walking by my side
don't notice I'm in company
