Strong enough to begin climbing out

Some will call this growing up I call it slavery
An existence based on profit nothing more
And now my heart had grown so cold that I no longer see
Any reason left to get up off the floor
Instead of me changing the world the world is changing me
And I have never felt so helpless or afraid
Cause when I look into the mirror I see the enemy
The reflection of a soul left to decal
I feel the hate
Taking control inside my mind
Instead of apathy I feel detached
And I can't find
Those memories or better times
They buried underneath the weight of my submission
