I think the thing about Wild Way is...
I played it first (as) a piano-vocal and it could,
it could have lived on its own in that way
But we felt that if it didn't build,
if something didn't start to happen that
we were missing an opportunity that it was almost too safe
So it was about finding what it was
and so it began to become clear that the song
was demanding an arrangement
The verse needed its own treatment and
the needed its own treatment and we had to create different spaces for them to do that so it's just a very simple following what the piano was doing
