A Hundred Things
There Are A Hundred Thingsâ¦
There are a hundred things that I would do â
If I could be once more with you;
Iâd haunt the places that we have been â
Iâd visit the homes that we lived in.
Iâd sing the songs we used to sing â
Iâd savour the joy you used to bring;
Iâd do the things that make you smile â
Iâd wander round your mind awhile.
Iâd ask you what you saw for me â
And ask whose future you could see.
Iâd not do the things that hurt you then â
Instead Iâd try to find out when
That I could do the things to give â
That anything would need to live.
So I could spend more time with you â
And do the things youâd want to do.
There are a thousand things that I would do â
To be again alone with you.
Iâd make sure all I ever did â
Was open to you and nothing hid.
And anything thatâd make you cry â
Iâd never do, at least Iâd try.
To give you all that you gave me â
So you would always ever be â
As happy now as when we first met â
When all we needed weâd always get.
Iâd care for you as best I could â
And do with you the things I should.
There are a million things I should have done â
To keep both you and I as one.
And if I had our time again â
Iâd know just where â Iâd know just when.
Iâd know the things Iâd have to do â
To keep us forever me and you.
