Abigail Miller my hope is in thee

When I come to You with questions,
Things I cannot understand,
When my mind is running forward,
Past the steps that You have planned,
I'm reminded of a shepherd,
Who was simple, just like me,
And the prayer he prayed before You, on his knee:
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, even as a weaned child,
And I have not exercised myself in things too high for me,
So quiet I will be.
My hope is in Thee.
As the eyes of lowly servants
Look unto the Master's hand,
So we wait upon Your mercy
As we yield unto Your plan.
Though the world is filled with scorning
And the hatefulness of pride,
We will lift our eyes to heav'n where You abide!
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, even as a weaned child,
And I have not exercised myself in things too high for me,
So quiet I will be.
My hope is in Thee.
Lift my eyes to see eternity!
My hope is in Thee... in Thee!
