BAP wofr

Can I write it and not feel stupid about it:
That suffering in all languages, that we hear everywhere,
that simply asks a question and therefore every human being touches:
Why, why?
From Cape Town to the North Cape, from Nebraska to the Urals,
Berlin to Vladivostok and back to Gibraltar.
Un jeder dää t sing and would the girl have understood:
Why, why?
Refr.:
Why the janze tears,
all that suffering and all that blood?
Et Lääs so koot.
Give me no einzje Grund
for it is worth dying -
why? Wofür?
In Turkish and in Kurdish, in Arabic, in Hebrew,
in Spanish and in English - I believe that suffering will never hurt.
In Russian and Chinese and that language in front of your door:
Wofür, wofür?
Refr.:
Wofür die janze Träne,
all that suffering and all that Blood?< br/>Et Lääve's zowiesu zo koot.
Give me no einjje Grund
for it is worth dying -
why? Why?
Unfortunately, this suffering is probably only a beautiful illusion,
because if it were that simple, then the wise would surely have already
made the trip for it, and themselves too nit embarrassed:
Why, why?
