What will become of those who continue to ignore the light?
For darkness is less frightening than brightness
As fear may be taken as the perfect reason to stay still
And embrace the comfort of not having to move
The cost to that is stillness itself
Is blindness to life and the light after sorrow
Is losing five senses while losing tomorrow
Not feeling alive, not feeling at all
Not breathing the air, and living so small We all start in darkness
It's seeing that's hard
We all can find brightness
Even if just a spark
What would be like to take a step in the dark?
If this is the place where we all are then all our first steps
Will be taken in the uncertainty of darkness
Leading us to what it means to live
The cost to that is sight itself
Is facing the obstacles we just can't see yet
Is searching a door, that is all that's left Trusting that it exists, knowing that we can find
Living past darkness by learning how to live
We all start in darkness
It's seeing that's hard
We all can find brightness
Even if just a spark
