Bluebird Avenue galaxies

We watched the lights in the houses on the hills.
And convinced ourselves that time stood still.
Starlite so bright, I could read your face.
And for a moment you were free of this place.
Well tomorrow you'll wake up and life carries on, be it bitter or be it sweet.
Undercurrents will pull you along, and such memories get hard to reach.
Out in the cold, we were warm inside.
Stoking the fire that keeps us alive, when you open your eyes and see life as it is, it's a beautiful thing to behold.
Those moments don't come as much as you wish.
When they do, take hold.
You don't have to understand everything, you don't have to understand everything, you don't have to understand everything.
Sometimes I don't understand anything at all.
We watched the lights in the houses on the hills.
Yellow galaxies in the night, when time stood still.
