Brett Newski the maths

I remember finding out that Santa Claus was fake
and since that day I´ve (merced) a broken heart.
It´s not the fact that we´re all raised on lies that makes me angry
it´s the lies we´re told that set us all apart.
Well it´s the lies we´re told that set us all apart.
We´re often putting too much faith into the sky
but when it rains we only end up wet.
I watch the weather there´s a good chance there´ll be lightning
we should probably go inside before we´re dead.
And I´ve always known,
one and one make two.
The thing I never figured out is how to lie to you.
I sacrificed much (x) for the sake of being smart
now I only speak in metaphor.
Summer is the time to pick shapes out of the clouds
because in winter there´s just way too many more.
Because in winter there´s just way too many more.
We´re often putting too much faith into the sky
but when it rains we only end up wet.
I watch the weather there´s a good chance there´ll be lightning
we should probably go inside before we´re dead.
And I´ve always known,
two and two make four.
The thing I never figured out is how to last for more.
And I´ve always known,
three and three make six.
The thing I never figured out is how to get my fix of you.
And I´ve always known,
four and four make eight.
By the time that I figured that one out it´s always way too late.
