Bukahara 1886

When I'm alone
the words tripped off his tongue
As though to be alone
was nothing strange
When I was young
he said when I was young
I was buried by the names
that I was called
I thought of age
of loneliness and change
And how strange we grow
when we are alone
And how unlike
the selves that meet and talk
And blow the candles out and say goodnight
And I don't think I'll stay for long
'ause I will go where I am not alone
And on the day when I'll be gone
you'll know that I will be where I am not alone
Oh I will be where I am not alone
When I'm too small
he looked at me and smiled
As though to be too small
was nothing sad
What does it mean
HE said tell me what it means
To feel someting
that makesthe others leave
I think of friends
of family and home
And how things could be
if I was not so strange
And what it's like
to sit by the fireplace
Together
in the cold winter nights
And I don't think I'll stay for long
'ause I will go where I am not alone
And on the day when I'll be gone
you'll know that I will be where I am not alone
Oh I will be where I am not alone
In the stillness
where our spirits walk
All but immost love
is overthrown
And I don't think I'll stay for long
'ause I will go where I am not alone
And on the day when I'll be gone
you'll know that I will be where I am not alone
Oh I will be where I am not alone
Oh I will be where I am not alone
Oh I will be where I am not alone
