I am not a good poet
can I ask you to stay still
until I
finish these words.
Perhaps because
I am not a good artist
I can say
my painting is ready
and proudly give you
this nonsense.
Perhaps because I am not from the nobility
I can name you my queen and princess
and give you paper crowns
of cigarettes.
Perhaps because
I am a bad businessman
I don't ask for anything in exchange for giving you
the little I have:
my life and my dreams.
Maybe because
I'm not a good soldier
I let you attack
from the front and the side
when we discuss
our projects.
Perhaps why
I am nothing like this
is that today you are
here in my bed.
