They were such a suffering people
From captive Egypt, Pharaoh ruled
Many years passed
Suffering and anguish
Oppression, slavery
And no longer They could not bear it any longer
They cried out for justice and peace
Israel cried out with tears
But their cry was heard and he ascended to heaven
The Lord heard them

And Moses said to God

Freedom for all he granted
Israel no longer cries for the night has turned
Sorrow has turned day into joy
