Dark River Lion pacific

When the moon begins to rise
the western sky
is engulfed in a cauldron of fire
As the waves give up the fight
A billion lights
dance and shimmer in your eyes
As the redwoods say goodnight
from highest heights
as the sun's last rays expire
It makes me realize just how small we are
Tiny pieces played in a game
As much as one might think that we're in control
Pacific skies don't feel the same
Highway 1 can kill your cares
the salty air
the cool breeze blowing through your hair
It's liberation if you dare
reflected there
in your red sunglasses' glare
It makes me realize just how small we are
It makes me wonder where we fit in
One day the life we know will have come and gone
Pacific memories never end
Standing on the cliffs so high
Pacific life spans the boundaries undefined
