Oá¹ maá¹i padme hÅ«á¹(Sanskrit: à¤à¤ मणिपदà¥à¤®à¥ हà¥à¤, IPA: [õËË mÉɳipÉd̪meË É¦Å©Ë]) is the six-syllabled Sanskrit mantra particularly associated with the four-armed Shadakshari form of Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan: སྤྱà½à¼à½¢à½¦à¼à½à½à½²à½à½¦à¼ Chenrezig, Chinese: è§é³ Guanyin, Japanese: 観é³ããã®ã Kannon), the bodhisattva of compassion. Mani means jewel or bead and Padma means the
lotus
flower, the Buddhist sacred flower.
