with broomsticks while singing,
the first shutters, yawning and heavy.
Behind the glass, the coffee maker assures that it was not criminal
and the conversation dissolves just like the sugar on the cut.
Good morning, no one has asked for it but good morning,
above the heads a very insolent sun
illuminates shamelessly the whole spectacle of the people.
In the middle of the square
the fishmonger takes patience with Consol
which rummages and gives away
big mouthfuls of alcohol.
And on the stone resting
grandpa Josep doesn't let any detail be missed
and with a glance he wonders
how many more days of gift tea.
