Invictus, André Wall & Norman Wall dear jane

The keen stars were twinkling, and the fair moon rose among them
Dear Jane, the guitar was twinkling
But the notes were not sweet till you sung them
Sung them again, Dear Jane
As the moons soft splendor, over the faint cold starlight of heaven
Is thrown so your voice must tender
To the strings without souls had them given
Given It´s own, Dear Jane
The stars will awaken, though the moon slept a full hour later
Tonight no leaf will be shaken
Whilst the dews of your melody scatter
Scatter delight, Dear Jane
Though the sound overpowers
A tone of some world far from ours
Where the music and moonlight and feeling
The moonlight and feeling are one
