Ithaca trespassers

I couldn't see the woods for the trees
Without the distance between you and me
The consequence of my failures
And seeing nothing in all that had meaning
I know there's a sacred place
For those who barely can recall my face
When it gets colder
We'll take shelter
In that we were nothing more but fleeting
Selfish beginnings (Have led the mountains into the sea)
There's nothing left this world can offer me
Born into ruin (We threw our bodies into the deep)
There's nothing left this world can offer me
No Gods
No masters
No mothers
No fathers
No lovers
No loyalty
No peasants
No royalty
No sons
No daughters
No blood
No water
No future
No past
We were never built to last
And i'll wait
And dust my hands in your remains
And i'll wait
