Jen Brown chasing the rainbow

My bleeding feet, my sweat, the heat
my tired legs, my breath is deep
My head is cooling in the rain
I’ll overtake my brain
People here and people there,
my panic-fear to reach nowhere
He’s too small and she’s to tall
I’ll overtake you all
Day is night and night is day
I’ll win this fight if I don’t stay
The summer’s bloom, the winter’s rime
I’ll overtake the time
Blurry, yellow, green and blue
disappears, becomes anew
Dark and light and black and white
I’ll overtake my eye
Will I’e reached the rainbows end,
when all breath and strengt his spent – ever?!
Will I’ve found the pot of gold,
when my heart stops, my sweat is cold? – ever?!
Whistling birds and buzzing bees
Spoken words and soughing trees
Noises come from far and near
I’ll overtake my ear
Tears of joy and tears of pain
Disappointed, sad, insane,
lucky jealous weak and smart
I’ll overtake my heart
Excrements, fumes and foul refuse,
balmy firs and pinks seduce
breath of humid grass and rose
I’ll overtake my nose
My moving shadow shrinks and grows
The drifting clouds, the river flows
Ahead the death, behind the birth
I’ll overtake the earth
Will I’ve reached the rainbows end,
when all breath and strengt his spent – ever?!
Will I’ve found the pot of gold,
when my heart stops, my sweat is cold? –ever?!
