Jen Brown rest stop

I’m travelling fast by train
catching glimpses through the pane
longing to stop in vain
No rest stop in sight
No chance to take flight
Will I escape
before it is too late?
Pull the break and slow down the race?
Will I escape and face my bitter fate?
Pull the break and slow down the pace
I see clouds roll by
with slower speed than I
people, planes, birds and streams,
cars and even running deer seem
too slow to catch my eye
No rest stop in sight
No chance to take flight
Will I escape
before it is too late?
Pull the break and slow down the race?
Will I escape and face my bitter fate?
Pull the break and slow down the pace?
No rest stop in sight
if I won’t stop the ride
and take flight
