Jonathon Robins the boulevard

City lights and ocean shores
All the views a mind can hold
Crazy thoughts and funny things
All the stories I could tell you
Like I was once a homeless man
They never asked, my name is Dan
Yeah I survived out on the streets
Sometimes with no shows on my feet
Yeah I was out there on my own
Without a place to call my home
A dollar dropped was good for me
Though friendly smiles are all we need
Yeah I sought shelter in the rain
I learned to hide my hunger pain
Without a soul to turn to
I had to find a happy place
And what made me smile
It would ease my mind
Were the city lights of the boulevard
And yeah when times get tough
And my spirit's crushed
I can feel the lights of the boulevard
Oh, the boulevard
When I was young about fourteen
I got a job to make ends meet
I had to help my family
'cause shelter homes were not ideal for me
But seven years I lived outside
I didn't run, I could not hide
A dollar dropped was good for
Though friendly smiles are all we need
Yeah I sought shelter in the rain
I learned to hide my hunger pain
Without a soul to turn to
I had to find a happy place
And what made me smile
It would ease my mind
Were the city lights of the boulevard
And yeah when times get tough
And my spirit's crushed
I can feel the lights...
It made me smile
And it eased my mind
In the city lights of the boulevard
And yeah when times get tough
And my spirit's crushed
I can feel the lights...
Yeah it made me smile
It would ease my mind
Were the city lights of the boulevard
And yeah when times get tough
And my spirit's crushed
I can feel the lights of the boulevard
