Judy Small no love lost

We sit here this cafe and we stare out at the traffic
The tension hangs between us like a pall
I can hear the people saying well, there's no love lost between them
There's no love lost between those two at all.
We watch TV in separate chairs, we eat our meals in silence
The phone rings and we leap to take the call
And though we sleep together we may be in distant rooms
Perhaps they're right there's no love lost at all.
No love lost between us we can hardly say the word
No love lost between us only anger and the hurt
We fight over the smallest things a breeze becomes a squall
Oh I guess there's no love lost here at all.
There seems to be no common ground between us was there ever?
I'm sure there once was laughter in these halls
But I never would have dreamed we could fail as fast as this
To where there's no love lost between us now at all
What about the love we made from nothing in the morning
What about the love we wove from all in afternoon
So much love lost between and you know what grieves me most
Is to hear them say well, there's no love lost.
So much lost between us we can hardly say the word
So much lost between us the anger and the hurt
We fight over the smallest things is breeze becomes a squall
Oh, they're wrong when they say no love lost at all
We fight over the smallest things is breeze becomes a squall
So wrong as they say no love lost at all.
