Like The Sea
It was a warm summer day
It stayed light for a long time
We had a fight at home again
I hit the front door closed
I got on my bike
and pedaled blindly forward
I preferred to cycle that day
out of the world
I cycled through the dunes
My anger cycled along
I stopped at the highest peak
And then I saw the sea
As the sea lay there
That warm summer day
A rippleless puddle
I wish I was like this
I can never keep calm
Even if I imagine it
There's always a storm brewing
And it rages and rages but on
Then I can't be stopped
Then I beat around the bush
And then the wind dies down

I feel I felt hopelessly alone
I stood looking at that mirror-smooth sea for a long time
It was almost dark
When I drove home
My mother was waiting

But my mother had to cry
And called me a darling
