Oceanographer lightning

I thought I was omnipotent, a shepherd to the innocent,
a foil to the malcontent, both full of cheer and good intent,
my eyes were wide, my heart was full like muscles on a fighting bull,
my stomach filled with matadors, their crimson flags and silly swords.
I know, it seems unlikely.
Feels like lightning, but not as frightening.
And when the burden came it fell like endless rain that lasts until
the hopefulleset of hopeful childs cannot remember being dry.
And you like petals of the flower that sunlight is at certain hours
appeared as suddenly and strange as if my shoulders sprouted wings.
I know, it seems unlikely.
Feels like lightning, but not as frightening, I know.
Well, I know when it goes it's not gone for good. It's not gone for good.
Yeah I know, when it goes it's not gone for good. It's not gone for good.
