Professor P & DJ Akilles the sunshine

Ey yo it's hard to ignore the pain in the pouring rain
Tried to open up but became more restrained
Tend to feel sorry for myself for no reason
Walking down this road freezing
The four seasons don't differ much where I'm from
My minds' numb trying to find some answers to why the good die young
Think about what legacy I'll leave when my time comes
Just a nobody that rhymed some
Blind for looking for things that can't be seen
Atleast I had a chance to dream
Grew up on wool and cans of beans
That was all I needed
But now a days I'm all concieted
See the writings on the wall still its hard to read it
I used to hang out on my block aiming for the number one spot
Claiming that I got game
And now I'm just walking on this rock pavement
Too busy complaining to even realize it stopped raining
It's the sunshine
She went from Syria to Turkey
Then Turkey to Greece, searching for peace
Blisters on her soles hurting her feet
Came by boat to a country unfamiliar with the words that she speaks
She tries to keep calm and smile at every person she meets
What she used to call home is now a gravesite
From early morning, late nights
Shots firing, no cop sirens
When bombs dropped she's telling her mom 'stop crying'
Let's go to a place where we can all stop hiding
Got a warriors soul
Another day, another story unfolds
She tried speaking with the border patrol
Telling them about Sweden and how she wanna go there
But politics is politics, she's going nowhere
While I stroll the streets complaining every time the rain come
Somebody is getting judged based on where they came from
She falls asleep dreaming of a day a change comes
No matter who you are we all see the same sun
It's the sunshine
