Outside the snow is falling
In the clearing Blacken stands
And calmly eats his hay
When the sound reaches him
That the harness is lifted down
And in front of the sled soon
With us he then sets off
Away with great speed
Jingle, jingle
Hear its dangle in the dung
Flakes that it whirls
In cheerful winter song
Follow us out, follow us out
The black trots on
In his tracks our sled goes
Where tall furrows stand
We sit under the falls
And the snow around us is dizzy
And not until evening
We steer the homeward journey
Oh, jingle, jingle
Hear its jingle in the dung
Flakes that it whirls about
In cheerful winter song
Outside the snow is falling
In the clearing Blacken stands
And calmly eats his hay
When the sound reaches him
That the harness is lifted down
And in front of the sled soon
With us he then sets off
Away with great speed
Jingle, jingle
Hear its dangle in the dung
Flakes that it whirls about
In cheerful winter song
Follow us out, follow us out
The black trots on
In his tracks our sled goes
Where tall furrows stand
We sit under the falls
And the snow around us dizzy
And not until the evening
We steer the homeward journey
Oh, jingle, jingle
Hear its jingle in the dung
Flakes it whirls about
In cheerful winter song
