Southern Lights clouded visions

I will strive for more, but this is all I know
If I think this through it would appear as though I gave up my sight,
But now I suppose I’m overdue for a clearer point of view
I’ve tried so hard to break free
Shallow eyes still see, but no ship can sail through these shallow streams
So let lidded eyes flow and slowly fill the ocean
And so I fall into this silver plain replaced with clouded visions
A shattering of every bone that breaks from the same mistakes you couldn’t change
I will strive for more, but this is all I know
You’re out of focus and what I miss the most is how you made things clearer for me,
But now I’ll deem what’s worthy
These shards are so fragile but they’ll cut the same
This isn’t seven years of bad luck, but a much needed change
Blessed are the rested but I never sleep
Blessed are the rested but I never sleep at all
Blessed are the rested but I never sleep
So where does that leave me
I wish my eyes could see completely free, but they are clouded in this misery
Sometimes it takes a break for you to realign your mind
