Terry Grosvenor i see the stars

The lights from the study and kitchen shone out
Through the blinds and the windows and bars
And high overhead and all moving about
Were thousands of millions of stars
More stars than the millions of leaves on the trees
More stars than the grass in the park
The heavens looked down upon me
And glittered and winked in the dark
I see the stars shining on me
Sharing their light for all to see
I see the stars shining on me
Sharing their light for all to see
Orion the hunter, and Aries the ram
And Draco and Ursa the bear
They don't make a sound as they move round the Earth
You don't even know they are there
I wish I could fly to collect my own stars
I'd pluck certain ones from the sky
But then other children would miss the great thrill
Of seeing these stars floating by
I see the stars shining on me
Sharing their light for all to see
I see the stars shining on me
Sharing their light for all to see
I see the stars shining on me
Sharing their light for all to see
I see the stars shining on me
Sharing their light for all to see
