There was a restaurant
on the top floor of the Hudson's Bay
It was called The Paddle Wheel
It still is today
And there really was a paddle wheel
floating in a watery tank
You could lean over the rail
throw a penny in
and make a wish as it sank
I used to try and land the pennies
on the paddles of the paddle wheel
so they'd stay there for a second
before they fell
I thought if I could do it
then my wish would come true
But I was small and it was hard to do
