The Jokerr this old world

In this Old World, how we should've known,
we get pushed around, our dreams shut down and hearts turn into stone
In this Old World, how hopeless of a place,
the oldness of a face that no wish could arouse
In this Old World, can't say we never tried,
we gave all our time,
to that great wall we climbed and never saw the other side
This Old World, only brought us down,
and when we asked it why,
we got no reply in fact it never made a sound
So now we sing, and these are the cries of the bound and the broken
And we don't know why, we're living a lie, but what is there to do
This Old World, that told us we could fly,
that told us we should try, that told us such a lie...
For the day when it all comes down
and we smile as we listen to the rumble
What a great and marvelous sound and
we'll watch like children while it crumbles
Well then if we go like a ripple on
the river to the giver, give me your soul
(?) And surely when we soul and when we arrive
we'll have to hear the calls of the battle of war... (?)
