The Rainbow Warrior
The Rainbow Warrior
The Rainbow Warrior - proud and strong,
Took only what he needed.
Then gave back by raising young -
The forests he re-seeded.
Still the world goes round and round -
The seasons come and go;
You could stand all day and look around -
And still you’d never know -
What is it - makes the world turn,
Or makes a young tree grow!
He said the world has all we need -
To live and love and more -
But where we’ve been must be the same -
When we leave it as before!
But then invaders came his way -
Saw all there was to gain.
Murdered, plundered, razed the earth -
Drove the Warrior to the plains.
For all the people in their time-
This earth is there to share.
Now it turns for me and you -
And we need all of its care...
