Cinderella Walker is a pious woman
Fo every Sunday morning
She sets out for church
And then she puts that attentive
Look on her face
And regrets that her new robe
Isn't ready yet
She's sitting in the third row
As she always is
Strange to see that Trevor's mother
Isn't there today
The parish quiets while the priest
Paces the pulpit
Cinderella Walker is preparing for the act
Oh, what a friend she has in God
Oh, how she believes in Him
Every Sunday again
And when she is praying
She is absent-minded
Thinking of her new gown
That she'll wear next Sunday
After having sung and prayed
She is quite satisfied
Relieved she gets up
And walks straight to the door
Dropping some coins
Into the offertary-box
And with all that she's got
Salvation for another week
