Jason Kaminski loner

Well there must have been a warning
But I guess I didn't hear it.
When I crossed into the unknown
I became engulfed with spirit.
For every heart is sacred
Or else it can not shine.
For me it takes a beating,
But it keeps my soul in line.
On a separate notion
The ink stained paper blue.
And if I never ventured
I never would have found you.
I try to alter bearings
Because you lend me hope.
And it's hard to be a loner,
When you hate to be alone.
I walked behind my shadow
Because it wasn't me.
I felt ashamed and hollow
Of actions I had seen.
It takes a mirror to notice
The faults we have inside.
But I am nothing special
And there's nowhere left to hide.
All these clever people
Think they have a clue.
But no one can avoid it
When the darkness falls around you.
Beneath this hardened body
A tender heart beats slow.
And it's hard to be a loner,
When you hate to be alone.
Yeah it's hard to be a loner,
When you hate to be alone.
